About these terms
These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by TB Plumbing & Gas Ltd. By asking us to carry out work, you agree to these terms. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Quotes and pricing
Quotes are provided free of charge and, unless stated otherwise, are valid for 30 days. A quote is based on the information available at the time and the work described. If the scope of work changes, or additional issues come to light once work begins, we will discuss this with you and agree any change in price before proceeding wherever possible.
For some work, a price may be given as an estimate rather than a fixed quote; where this is the case we will make it clear.
Carrying out the work
We will carry out our work with reasonable care and skill, and in accordance with relevant regulations, including Gas Safe requirements for gas work. We will do our best to complete work within any agreed timescale, though timescales are estimates and may be affected by factors outside our control, such as parts availability.
Payment
Payment terms will be agreed with you before work begins. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due on completion of the work. For larger jobs, we may request a deposit or staged payments, which will be set out in your quote.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking, please give us as much notice as possible. Where materials have been ordered specifically for your job, or work has already commenced, reasonable costs incurred may be chargeable.
Guarantees and warranties
Our workmanship is guaranteed. Parts and appliances we supply carry the manufacturer's warranty, and where we install a new boiler we register it so you receive the full manufacturer's guarantee. Warranties are subject to the equipment being used correctly and, where applicable, serviced annually.
Liability
We hold public liability insurance. Our liability is limited to the cost of putting right defective work or, where applicable, the value of the work carried out. We are not liable for pre-existing faults or issues unrelated to the work we have undertaken, nor for indirect or consequential loss, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Access and safety
To carry out our work we require safe and reasonable access to the property and the relevant systems. Please let us know in advance of any hazards or access restrictions. If we are unable to gain access at an agreed appointment, a charge may apply.
Complaints
We take pride in our work, but if something isn't right we want to know. Please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to put it right promptly and fairly.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
