When your boiler stops working, you want two things: someone who'll come quickly, and someone who'll actually fix it rather than guess. Our Gas Safe engineers do exactly that. We diagnose the real fault, explain what's wrong in plain English, and repair it properly.
We repair boilers across Essex, London, Kent and Suffolk, and because we carry many of the most common parts, a lot of breakdowns are sorted in a single visit. If your boiler is beyond economic repair, we'll tell you honestly and talk you through a replacement.
Common boiler faults we fix
- No heating or no hot water
- Boiler losing pressure or repeatedly needing topping up
- Leaking or dripping boiler
- Boiler locked out on a fault code
- Pilot light or ignition problems
- Strange banging, whistling or gurgling noises (kettling)
- Frozen condensate pipe (common in cold snaps)
- Radiators not heating up or thermostat faults
Honest advice: repair or replace?
Not every breakdown is worth repairing. If your boiler is old, unreliable and the repair is expensive, throwing money at it can be a false economy. We'll give you a straight assessment of whether a repair makes sense or whether a new, efficient boiler would save you money in the long run.
Either way, the decision is yours and there's no pressure — just the honest advice we'd give our own family.
Frozen condensate? You might fix it yourself
In freezing weather, boilers often lock out because the condensate pipe has frozen. If your boiler has stopped and there's a fault code, thawing the external pipe with warm (not boiling) water can sometimes get you going again. If you're not sure or it won't restart, call us.
Boiler completely dead in a cold snap? Check whether the small external pipe (the condensate) has frozen — gently warming it can sometimes restore heating straight away.
